原稿Reading Selectively or Extensively
Reading is popular with a variety of people as a pastime all the time. Some people contend that reading should be selective. Because, intervened in by some bads, people may be induced to conduct some abnormal things, even illegal, such as theft, crime, ect. Furthermore, reading the news people don't need wastes time. So, it seems to be reasonable to read selectively.
However, others don't approve of it, considering that reading extensively is more beneficial to people . First, extensive reading contributes to people, as it affords people lots of opportunities to exposure to the social facts, making people more familiar with the society,so that people could adapt themselves to the world at more ease. Second, people may recognize all kinds of knowledge by reading extensively, which may benefit you as well as others. Therefore, reading extensively appears to be right, too.
With some agreement to both two opinions,I come up with an idea that it may be better to properly merge selective reading into extensive reading. As a result, people can not only obtain what they want but also enlarge their horizons. Isn't it a pleasure?

Reading Selectively or Extensively
Reading is popular with a variety of people as a pastime all the time. -->(Re-arrange: "all the time->has always been--> move to the beginning of the sentence)--> Reading has always been a popular pasttime with many kinds of people.
Some people contend that reading should be selective. Because, intervened in by some bads, people may be induced to conduct some abnormal things, even illegal, such as theft, crime , ect. --(i)"Because intervened in by some bads" is improper English. (ii) theft is one form of crime. Crime is one form of illegal activity. Set-subect. E.g. to commit crimes such as thefts, arson, rape... (Set:crime, subset: thefts, arson, rape. (iii)Bad is vague is subjective. What is considered as bad for one cullture/religion/political system could be sacronsanct for another. --> Due to the influence from reading bad(read comment iii) books, people may be induced to behave abnormally, even to the extend of committing crimes such as theft, arson, rape, etc.
Furthermore, reading the news people don't need wastes time.<--There are two problems with this sentence. (i) It is ambiguous. Do you mean "people need not(=don't) waste their time in reading newspapers, or " reading news paper would not waste people's time." (ii)This sentence is out of place. It is like a "bolt from out of the blue." It suddenly appears from nowhere. You have to find a way to tie this in with the rest of that first paragraph. You were talking about why people should read selectively. Then, all of a sudden, you said " reading the new...don't need wastes time." What has that got to do with people commiting crimes because they do not read selectively.
So, it seems to be reasonable to read selectively.
However, others don't approve of it(, considering)<--change comma to semi-colon, change considering to "they consider" that reading extensively is more beneficial to people .
First, extensive reading contributes to people,-->extensive reading does not "contributes to people", they "contributes something to people. Change that to "is beneficial" --> First, reading extensively is beneficial for people
as it affords provides people with lots of opportunities to exposure to the social facts(<--???), making makes people more familiar with the society (take out the comma, no pause, no comma split) so that people could adapt themselves to the world at more ease easier. Second, people may recognize acquire all kinds of knowledge by reading extensively, which may benefit you them as well as others. Therefore, reading extensively appears to be right, too.
With some agreementAgreeing somewhat to both two(both=both of the two. You cannot have "both one, both three." The word two is redundant.) opinions, I come up with an the idea that it may be better to properly merge combine selective reading into with extensive reading. As a result, people can not only obtain what they want but also enlarge their horizons. Isn't it that a pleasure?
